Ondo State Government has commenced the distribution of 1,000 employment letters to the newly recruited teachers under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olabode Olatunde, who confirmed it to journalists in Akure yesterday, the distribution of the letters commenced last Friday.

Olatunde added that the distribution of the appointment letters began after the conduct of an online examination to ensure that the best brains were selected among the applicants.

He said the successful applicants were selected based on their performance at the online examination conducted. He said Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had assured that his administration would employ teachers to fill vacant positions in all the schools across the state.

The recruitment of teachers in the state by the administration is coming after over 14 years since the late Dr. Olusegun Agagu’s administration recruited the last set of teachers for the state.
