The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Onelinks Consults Limited, Ahmed Abubakar Nmaa, has bagged the Peace Builders and Youth Ambassador of the year for empowering women and youths.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Onelinks Consults Limited, Ahmed Abubakar Nmaa, has bagged the Peace Builders and Youth Ambassador of the year for empowering women and youths.

The award was bestowed on him by a non-governmental organisation, Peace Ambassador Agency, in recognition of his humanitarian service, capacity building and empowering of women and youts.

The agency is an advocate of peaceful and united Nigeria.

Receiving the award at an event in Abuja, Nmaa pledged his commitment to youth empowerment.

According to him, the various agitations in the country could be attributed to the neglect, corruption and unchecked looting of the commonwealth by some unscrupulous government officials.

He said if Nigeria focuses on poverty eradication as one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), other areas of the goals could be easily met.

He stressed that if the youth are empowered, it would lead to a significant reduction in restiveness in the country, adding, “if this is achieved, all other vices could be depleted out of our society.”

Nmaa solicited cooperation with others who are ready to empower youths, adding that he launched an initiative tagged “iGreen Africa” to create a forum for youths.

He said the forum is to allow youths meet and discuss capacity building, talents, vision and how their dreams could be achieved.

He explained that iGreen Africa has empowered over 3,000 youth across the country with an additional 5000 women and young girls being empowered presently with entrepreneurship skills.
