Plans are underway by Paxful to increase financial literacy and provide education on Bitcoin, bringing together people from all over the continent.

The global community and education lead, Paxful, Renata Rodrigues, who stated this in Abuja, added that Paxful plans to host classes for the public, a masterclass for different business sectors, campus tours, and workshops.

The organisation recently held a ‘Women and the future of finance’ event and a VIP user at its education centre.

She expressed hope that the efforts would continue to spur adoption and build an even stronger economy.

She said: “I am lucky to be able to see first-hand how Bitcoin is impacting communities all around the world. In developing countries, many individuals lack access to traditional banking–Bitcoin offers a financial alternative that connects everyone to the global economy regardless of location, gender, or income. In countries like Nigeria, we are seeing Bitcoin used for everyday transactions, including remittance, e-commerce, payments and social good.”

Rodrigues insisted that at Paxful, financial education is at the forefront of its mission and the organisation is committed to working on the ground with communities to help more people learn more about Bitcoin and how it can be a strong financial alternative.

She hinted that the focus of the PaxNaija Educational Centre, which is located in Abuja, is aimed at educating, training and informing Nigerians on the adoption of Bitcoin.
