PEFON inducts new fellows, harps on excellence in governance

The Professional Excellence Foundation of Nigeria (PEFON) has said the country requires excellent people to realise its full potential and move it to where is ought to be.

Its founder and Chairman of Council, Dr. Oladipo Bailey, disclosed this at the induction and investiture of new members in Lagos.

He said PEFON’s objectives are to identify Nigerian professionals at home and abroad who may wish to be part of the foundation and to recognise those who have excelled in their respective professions.

The foundation, he noted, would also recognise individuals who though do not possess professional qualifications, have established conglomerates that have employed a large number of professionals.

Bailey added that the foundation was committed to helping youths to be professionally qualified, adding that this would increase their chances of becoming employed.

He stressed “We already have a committee in place to help the youths in that regard and we are planning to have a conference for professionals later in the year.

He also said that PEFON was planning to raise scholarship fund to assist youths to study and become professionals in various fields.

According to Bailey, professionals have a lot to contribute in fostering growth and development of the country.

The new inductees are: Olakunle Ekundayo; Olufunke Aleshinloye; Mumini Alao; Adewale Sonaike; Oye Ogundele; Olayiwola Adebayo; Jude Onochie; Temitope Balogun and Adetola Ismail Akindele, among others.
