Promasidor appoints Einarsson Managing Director 

Promasidor Nigeria Limited has appointed Anders Einarsson as Managing Director.

He succeeds Olivier Thiry, who has been elevated to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO).

Until his elevation, Einarsson served the organisation as Chief Operating Officer (COO), having joined the company in 2013 as Strategy Director and later promoted to Finance Director.

Einarsson has extensive experience in Nigeria and other emerging markets, having worked across Africa and Russia for the last 15 years in various corporate finance and investment roles.

Prior to his appointment at Promasidor Nigeria, he was a partner with a Johannesburg-based private equity fund manager and was responsible for deal origination and execution in West and Central Africa.

Announcing the appointment, Thiry said: “Einarsson will focus on moving Promasidor Nigeria business forward in these very exciting times.”

Promasidor was founded in 1979 by Robert Rose, who left the United Kingdom in 1957 for Zimbabwe to pursue his dreams in Africa and it has since spread to 25 African countries.

Promasidor Nigeria has grown since it commenced operations in 1993 with six products in the market.
