UP Plc appoints independent non-executive directors

University Press Plc has confirmed the appointment of two independent Non-Executive Directors, Dr. Josephine Diete-Spiff and Joseph Daudu, to its board.

University Press Plc has confirmed the appointment of two independent Non-Executive Directors, Dr. Josephine Diete-Spiff and Joseph Daudu, to its board.
   
The appointments, according to the Executive Director, Publishing, Folakemi Bademosi, were made at the firm’s last yearly general meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Diete-Spiff is the Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Four Time Product Nigeria Ltd, Chairperson/ Proprietress Titare Star Royal Academy, Legal Secretary and Director, BZB Group Nigeria Ltd, former Chairperson and CEO, Titare MicroFinance Bank Ltd, all in Port Harcourt.

   
She has a Doctoral degree in Business Administration from Walden University, U.S. in 2015, Masters in Business Administration from University of Liverpool, U.K. in 2012, and a Bachelor of Law, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
 
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), and International Bar Association (IBA). Dr. Diete-Spiff is an author with a few published works under her belt and has written playlets for NTA, Benin City Edo state, Nigeria.

Diete-Spiff is the Queen of Twon Brass Kingdom in Bayelsa State and is happily married with three children. Her appointment to the Board of University Press Plc took effect from September 22, 2021.
 
Also, Daudu, a senior practicing lawyer and member of the Nigerian Bar Association, member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, and public speaker and lecturer, with offices in Abuja, Kaduna and Zaria.

A graduate of law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he started his legal career with Boma Obuofirobo and Co in Port Harcourt and is currently Principal Partner, J. B. Daudu and Co, Zaria, Kaduna and Abuja and was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
