Iceberg Slim unveils the #wavechallenge, urges colleagues to be more creative

Olusegun Olowokere (aka Iceberg slim) has unveiled a dance competition tagged, the #WaveChallenge, the musician who is set to dole out cash to a lucky winner, as a way of appreciating his fans, said what prompted him to unveiling the competition was “I asked everyone to do an Instagram video of themselves or someone else being creative to my song, Wave, to show if they could sing, dance, rap, act, and the video with the most views wins N100,000.”

Lauding the Nigerian music industry, Iceberg, who draws his inspiration from notable superstars like Drake, Kanye West and 2Face, said, “he has definitely come a long way and still has a long way to go.” According to him, “I’m honestly impressed at the level of success and global recognition we’ve achieved so far. It can only get bigger and better with time.”

He, however, advised colleagues in the industry to be more creative, saying, “I don’t sound like anyone else, from my accent to my tone/diction. Secondly, I try to constantly reinvent my hairstyle, so as to not look like anyone else either. So far, these two things have been my distinguishing factors.”
