Looking to address limited access to exhibition space and buyers for Christian art and artists, Fobally Art World Africa, Saviorite Ventures Limited and RCCG City of David are collaborating to tackle this issue via a two-week exhibition in Lagos.

Tagged Creation Speaks, the one of a kind exhibition will hold from October 18 to November 1, 2026, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, with free entry for members of the public.

Speaking at a mediabriefing, Founder and Chair, Fobally Art World Africa, Folashade Abiola, said the initiative is strategic and designed to empower Christian artists across different age groups, both young and old, by providing a platform to showcase their works and connect with prospective buyers.

Abiola said many artists operate from their studios but struggle to find galleries willing to exhibit their works, limiting their access to potential customers.
‎
“A lot of artists, they have their studio and many amazing artworks but don’t have the space to show said artworks to the world,” she revealed.
‎
She added that the show is open to a broad range of artists, with the organisers receiving registrations from artists ahead of the event. She added that the artworks would be available for sale, offering participating artists an opportunity to reach buyers through the exhibition.

She, however, said the initiative was in its early stages, with plans for further enriching activities to be developed upon as it progresses.

The exhibition will also provide opportunities for younger artists to learn from established practitioners, while encouraging greater engagement with visual art within the church and surrounding community.

Representing the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG City of David, Pastor Kayode Pitan, Pastor Trevor Akindele, said the church’s involvement was partly driven by its desire to encourage young people with an interest in art. He said the exhibition would enable young artists to encounter experienced practitioners, learn from them and build relationships that could support their creative development.

Akindele added that the church intends to use the exhibition as an outreach opportunity by bringing members of the surrounding community together through art.

National Elder, RCCG and CEO, Saviorite Ventures Limited, Pastor Jide Aiyegbusi, said the exhibition’s impact was linked to its Christian purpose.

He said a team of experienced artists would review submissions and select works based on their creativity, medium and suitability for the exhibition’s theme, adding that 146 artists had registered as of two weeks before the briefing.
