Group to host children’s reality show

To promote family friendly, value oriented and entertaining television shows, Eagles’ Nest Educational Research Limited (ENER) will host children in a reality TV show.

To promote family friendly, value oriented and entertaining television shows, Eagles’ Nest Educational Research Limited (ENER) will host children in a reality TV show.In a statement issued in Lagos,the organisation said the show, titled, ‘Star Scholar Naija’ (SSN) would have 16 teenagers within the range of 13 to 16 years, camp for 21 days.

Beyond its entertainment value, the show will also provide opportunities for discovering talents, mentorship, as well as promote friendship and academic excellence and others.

The statement reads in part: “SSN is a children’s reality show where 16 talented teenagers are immersed in a learning experience with a view to presenting future model citizens and broaden their knowledge and experience of the world around through creative, scientific exploration and problem solving strategies, thereby mastering survival skills for a successful life.

“The teenagers aged 13-16 years would be camped in a hostel accommodation for 21 days, where under the guidance of a show host, facilitators and counselors, are exposed to games, talent hunts, academic and critical reasoning exercises and sporting activities, while competing as individuals as well as in groups.”

ENER explained that the programme was borne out of a need to create valuable programmes with family appeal while still meeting desires of a youthful audience. It added, “West African Regional Director, Ford Foundation, Mr Innocent Chukwuma, alongside major brands, organisations and individuals have offered their support.”
