LVI Art Gallery is partnering Edo government for this year’s culture fiesta. Tagged Edo State Festival of Arts and Culture (EDOFEST), it is a yearly event that showcases the best of the state’s businesses, food and culture.

The goals of the festival include promotion of history, culture and heritage to provide an atmosphere that nurtures peace and unity, provide opportunities for public and private sectors to market, brand and promote primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, as well as connect and establish relationships between businesses, hospitality sector and heritage agencies for mutual prosperity and others.

This year’s festival, which begins in Lagos on November 17, ends November 19, 2023, has as theme, ‘Edo to the World, Second and My Home, My Culture and my Pride.’

The Lagos edition is aimed at expanding the rich Edo cultural heritage beyond the shores of the state. It is aimed at drawing more visitors to the grand finale, which will be held in Benin City from December 15 to 17, 2023.

According to the organisers, EdoFest 2023 will play a significant role in promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Edo, ensuring that it is passed down to future generations and serve as a platform to bring different generations together, enabling them to meet, share experiences and build relationships.
