The awards were initiated to take development to communities that are socially and economically disadvantaged, and engage them through skill acquisition.
“We have been engaging in the prevention and relief of poverty in Africa by training the youths in skill acquisition programmes, which include renewable energy, building, sewing, painting and mechanics and other things to enable them to contribute meaningfully to the society thereby giving them financial freedom,” said the organisers.
“We work with celebrities, leaders, companies and entrepreneurs across the Globe, encouraging them to contribute to their communities. The awards are an annual award that holds every first Saturday, December, to raise awareness and recognise those who have contributed in building their community.”
