Nigerian rapper Rap Goddess speaks on musical career

Maureen James popularly known as RG (short form of Rap Goddess) started her musical career in 2009 as a gospel singer, songwriter, performing in churches and sings as a choir mistress.

Rap Goddess music produced by award winning producer Akeemdabeat, started rapping and composing in 2011 has consistently being active and focused on her growth.

As achieved, and gained lots of street credibility and recognition awards over the time. In 2014, Rap Goddess created her instagram page and became a social media star due to her consistency, freestyle videos and unique contents.

She is considered as the finest Rapper in Nigeria. A nurse practitioner and a huge philanthropist, she has formed the God’s given foundation, a charity aimed to help terminally ill children.

She has taking part in several events to raise the awareness of Child molestation, HIV and AIDS in 2017 and 2021, she also host a yearly hiphop concert “Easter Rap Fiestas featuring A-list Nigerian rappers and underdogs.

Finally, she has donated N3 million to food bank helping the people whose lives where destroyed by the super-flooding.

She said helping people in need gives her joy and she intends to do more in the future.

Rap Goddess has been a Christian throughout her life and believes strongly in God. She states that her faith in God has guided her throughout her whole life and career. She often tweets about this, saying; I love God in the passionate name of Jesus. She’s a huge believer of reading the Bible and follows God whenever possible.

She added, “its God who inspires me in pursuing my dreams of being an influential music professional.”
