…Ayra Starr, Odumodublvck, Lancey Foux To Headline Nativeland’s Comeback
Following a riveting online freestyle competition to select an opening act for this year’s, NATIVELAND, which holds today at Sol Beach, Lagos, the organizers have selected Oraethegreat as the fated vocalist to join the league of superstars to perform at the show.
The competition was judged by acclaimed music producer, Trill Xoe, Native Records Label Exec Teezee, as well as award-winning rapper Odumodublvck. The participants were tasked with recording a 45-second verse to a pre-selected instrumental.

The annual music festival hosted by the NATIVE Networks returns for its fifth edition after a four-year break.
Filled with high energy and culture mixing, NATIVELAND has over the past eight years years assembled local and international acts such as Skepta, Burna Boy, J Hus in 2016; Davido, Tekno, Not3s, Mayorkun in 2017; Burna Boy, Wizkid, Skepta in 2018; Dave, Naira Marley, Tems, Koffee in 2019; and Rema, Amaarae, CKay at an intimate free-access show in 2021 for their core community of fans.
Set at an all-new festival venue at the SOL Beach, in Victoria Island, Lagos, this year’s festival is set to be headlined by 2023’s breakout rapper ODUMODUBLVCK; Amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles; UK trap cult hero Lancey Foux; and Afropop’s brightest star, Ayra Starr.
“Over the past few years, the NATIVE have made it our mission to tell the stories of the budding African youth culture at home and abroad. Through our flagship festival, NATIVELAND, which was created in 2016, we have served,” the organizers noted.
NATIVELAND 2023 is produced by NATIVE Networks in collaboration with MASSIVE Dynamics, Atinudah Concepts.
