Bankole Taiwo James is freelance journalist, photojournalist, and documentary filmmaker based in Adamawa state, Nigeria. Over the past six years as a multimedia journalist, his reporting has focused extensively on Conflict and Displacement, climate change and environmental justice, Agriculture and smart-agriculture technology, women and children, public health, solution-focused reporting, social justice, people living with disabilities, and community reporting and advocacy. He is a 2025 fellow of Thomson Reuters Foundation Breaking Down Barriers Fellowship. Also, a fellow of 2026 Liberty Journalism Fellowship, among several others. As a freelance journalist, he has worked and published with both international and national media platforms such as The Africa Report, The Guardian Nigeria, The Premium Times, The National Daily Times, The Chroncyles, The Nigerian Tribune, The Liberalist Centre, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), The Diaspora Africa, West Africa Weekly and others.
