Tinubu okays governing councils of federal universities, CoEs

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of qualified persons to the governing councils of federal universities and other tertiary institutions of learning. President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of qualified persons to the governing councils of federal universities and other tertiary institutions of learning.

For the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State, the President approved the appointment of Temi Harriman as Chairman with four others as members.

They are: Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguele, Freeman Kasa, and Babangida Alhassan Abdullahi.

For Nigerian University of Science and Technology, Abuja, President Tinubu named Rabe Mudi Bala as Chairman.

Members include Mr. Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu, and Femi Osabinu.

The President also appointed Bram Baifa as Chairman of the Federal University of Agriculture, Bassam-Biri, Bayelsa.

Members are Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna, and Christy Akpehuan Omoruyi.

He named Ahmadu Barau Banye Salisu as Chairman of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Kwale, Delta State.

Members include Aragbaye Oluwatosin Gbolagunte, Talba Bauchi, Akaninodo Kehinde Adekunle, and Chibuike Ikenga.

For the Federal University of Medical Sciences, Katsina State, President Tinubu named Habib Mohammed Ibrahim to serve as Chairman, while Yau Aisha Abdulkadir, Shehu Kaka, Ibrahim Umar Abbah, and Isijola Rasaki are members.

Rukayyatu Abdulkareem Gurin is Chairman of the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, Adamawa State, with Peter Tanko Dogara, Amina Ibrahim Ndala, Owolabi Shamsideen Oseni, and Olufemi Lawson as members.

For Admiralty University, Ibusa, Delta State, Tinubu named Yusuf Mohammed as Chairman.

Members include Sani Ndanusa, Abdul Oroh, Mary Okaba Agbo, and Omasan Agbajoh.

The Nigerian French Language Village, Badagry, Lagos, has Labiru Musa Kafur as Chairman.

Ibitoye Victor Philips, Bamgbose S., Musa Ayas, and Ogenyi Okpokwu Emmanuel are members.

At the National Institute of Nigerian Languages, Aba, Abia State, President Tinubu has appointed Victor O. Ukaogo to serve as Chairman.

Members include: Anjare Samuel David, Turuka Ismaila, Adimchinaka Onwukwe, and Princess Ify Ugo Okoye.

Awal Bawa Morike is Chairman at the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State.

Mohammed Bashir Umar, Monday Nanza, Mohammed Alhaji Audu, and Sheriff Abdullahi are members.

Federal University of Medical Sciences, Abeokuta, Ogun State has Usman Mohammed Shanawa as Chairman, while Kabiru Yahaya, Chinenye Love Moses, Uyiosasere Ekhosuehi, and Joshua Oludare Adewale are members.

At the Nigerian Arabic Language Village, Gamboru Ngala, Borno State, the President appointed Ahmed Wambai as Chairman with Gazali Hamza Suleiman, Imam Alfa Rahaman, Isah Kwayami, and Mohammed Ize Mamman as members.

The President appointed Edna Njoku as Chairman at the National Mathematical Centre, Sheda, Kwali in the FCT.

Members include Kovie Andrew Epetutu, Oyinkasola Okewoye, Ibrahim Musa, and Sarah Tukura.

In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President charged the new members of the governing boards of the institutions to perform their functions effectively and within the ambits of their statutory responsibilities.

Similarly, President Tinubu approved the appointment of the governing councils of federal colleges of education.

He named Ismaila Gadaka as Chairman of Federal College of Education, Yauri, Kebbi State, and appointed members including Abdulhakeem Adegoke, Pam Ishaya, Abubakar Sadique Fakai, and Zara Duamlong Usman.

For the Federal College of Education (Technical) Isu, Ebonyi State, the President appointed Mohammed Sani Takori as Chairman with Dauda Onipede, Victor Mela Danzaria, Solomon Ayuba, and Mario Eno Owumi as members.

At the College of Education, Odugbo, Benue State, President Tinubu appointed Baba Alphonsus Homsuk as Chairman and named Kayode Ajiboye, Rex Ogbonna, Jude Ngaji, and John Yada Viko as members.

Federal College of Education, Jama’are, Bauchi State, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, Aisha Yelwa Ibrahim Tahir is appointed Chairman, while Dorren Ikedi Udechukwu, Bar Brass Yaji, Mustapha Shehu, and Joshua Oludare Adewale are members.

For the Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, Sokoto

Abdullahi Adamu is Chairman while Olatunji Akinbiyi, Mohammed Adamu Malala, Saleh Musa Audu, and Lami Ehi Oguogho are members.

For Federal College of Education (Technical), Benin City, Edo State, Tukur Jikamshi is appointed as Chairman while Abdullahi Adamu Loko, Asimiyu Alarape, Abubakar Abubakar Bello, and Christopher Okaeben are members.

President Tinubu also charged the new members of the boards of the institutions to serve with dedication and commitment to improving the standards of learning in the nation’s federal colleges of education.
