SAA Manager, Leke-Bamtefa, wins industry award

The Country Manager of South African Airways (SAA) in Nigeria, Oluwakemi Leke-Bamtefa, has been honoured with the ‘Airline Country Manager of the Year – African Tourism Promotion Award’ by the organisers of the Afrique Travel Industry Conference and Awards held in Lagos.

Apart from Leke-Bamtefa, other proven professionals and personalities in aviation, tourism and travel industries were also recognised with various awards.

The organisers said Leke-Bamtefa received the recognition for her outstanding contributions to the aviation industry and her role in promoting tourism across the African continent.

The organisers commended Leke-Bamtefa for her dedication to improving South African Airways’ presence in Nigeria and promoting seamless travel between African countries.

Leke-Bamtefa is recognised with the award based on her leadership, professionalism and commitment to advancing aviation and promoting African tourism, which continues to make a remarkable impact in the industry.

In her speech, Leke-Bamtefa expressed delight at the recognition.

She assured that the award would spur her to do even more for the aviation and tourism sectors.

“I am deeply happy to receive this award. I dedicate it to the entire South African Airways team in Nigeria and all our stakeholders who have made our achievements possible over the years,” she said.
