MOJEC International Limited said it deployed 300,000 and installed over 240,000 meters across the country last year.

The company made this known in a statement issued yesterday, emphasising that the feat reflects the company’s robust capacity to scale up metering initiatives.

It added that the milestone underscores the company’s commitment to bridging the country’s metering gap and ensuring improved energy accountability.

Its Head of Installation, Monday Ubogu, said through its subsidiary, MOJEC Meter Asset Management Company (M3AC), the company completed up to 150,000 installations within the first three quarters, accounting for 40 per cent of all installations carried out nationwide across distribution companies (DisCos) within the same period.

He added that in the fourth quarter saw an additional 95,000 meters installed, bringing its yearly installed meters to over 240,000 installations.

“The record-breaking meter installations underscore MOJEC’s unparalleled capacity to drive metering initiatives such as CAPMI, MAF, Vendor Financing, Meter Asset Provider (MAP) Phases I and II and the National Mass Metering Programme (NMMP) 0, having deployed nearly four million meters since privatisation,” he said.

Group Managing Director, Chantelle Abdul, attributed the feat to the company’s state-of-the-art metering facilities, boasting a yearly installed capacity of up to five million meters.

She affirmed that by leveraging its extensive expertise of over 5,000 skilled professionals and infrastructure, the vast network of expertise ensures swift and efficient meter deployment, making MOJEC the go-to partner for DisCos nationwide.
