West Africa’s largest pharma expo returns on March 18

Pharma West Africa, the region’s largest trade event dedicated to improving access to quality medicines, will open its doors from March 18th to 20th.
Following a highly successful launch last year, the 2025 Pharma West Africa event is already promising to be larger with more than 200 exhibitors and more than 3,000 visitors expected to attend the three-day exhibition and conference. It will take place at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event is already considered the premier opportunity for professionals, key buyers and leading decision makers from the region’s pharmaceutical industry to connect with suppliers from across the globe in a market that is growing rapidly. It is estimated that revenue in the pharmaceuticals market in Nigeria alone will reach US$1.84 billion (₦2.86 trillion) in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.45% over the next five years.*
Exhibitors from Nigeria, the West Africa region and around 50 countries worldwide will be showcasing thousands of finished products such as OTC medicines, generics, and patent/branded medicines, as well as manufacturing equipment, storage facilities, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and much more.
Pharma West Africa is organised by BtoB Events, which has become Africa’s leading organiser of trade events with a diverse portfolio already ranging from food to beauty to automotive parts.
Jamie Hill, Founder and Managing Director at BtoB Events, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting Pharma West Africa again after having such positive feedback from the launch event in 2024.
“Major pharmacy and pharmaceutical organisations and trade bodies have reaffirmed their support by continuing to partner with Pharma West Africa to ensure the event will appeal to anyone involved in the medicines supply chain.”
Data from 2024 shows that around 43% of attendees were in the importers and distributors category, 33% were from pharmacy retail chains, 11% were pharmacists, and 8% were manufacturers. Others attending included regulators, health ministry officials, academia, and health economists.
“In addition to the business and networking opportunities on the exhibition floor, we know that the Conference running alongside will play a role in helping shape pharmaceuticals policy in Nigeria, West Africa and beyond,” said Mr Hill.
