Delta to unveil investment opportunities, honour 100 indigenes
As part of the events to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Delta State, plans are at advanced stage to unveil 100 Delta indigenes that have distinguished themselves through selfless service to humanity and development of the state.
The 100 icons are to be profiled in a Special Compendium of Honour, which would also unveil the numerous investment opportunities in the state.
The compendium to be published by the Corporate and Media Africa Communications Limited, in collaboration with the Delta State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and expected to be formally launched on September 3rd 2016 has now been postponed till November 5th, 2016.
The Head Coordinating Committee of the Compendium, Fidelis Odumosor and the Coordinator, Alex Omordia, confirmed that arrangement is in top gear to hold the even, adding that it would serve as encouragement for indigenes across the world who have made meaningful impact in the quest for state’s growth and service to humanity.
According to them, the Compendium of Hounour will comprise of profiles of top100 people who have made the state proud in the last 25 years.
The event is slated to be chaired by the former Head of State, Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida.
The Compendium, according to the endorsement letter signed by the by Akpuh Alex on behalf of the Commissioner, Ernest Ogwuezzy, shall provide detailed profile and achievements of the state’s heroes, give overview of Delta State at 25, and equally highlight the investment opportunities in the state especially in the culture and tourism sector.
