Dexa Medica, an Indonesia pharmaceutical company with its Nigerian distributor partner, Orange Drug Limited, has restated its commitment to promote healthcare, sports, education and facilitate business development for growth and wellbeing of Nigerians.

Speaking at the Indonesia Mini Expo held at its embassy at Victoria Island, Lagos from March 15-17, 2023, the Country Manager, Dexa Medica Nigeria and West Africa, Mr. Dhanang Riyo Anggoro, said the company, which started operations in Nigeria in 1995, has since become a force to reckon with in the pharmaceutical industry with its rich portfolio of products to support healthcare management in Nigeria. He said the company also aims to contribute to improving the wellbeing of Nigerians through education, sports and other sectors.

Anggoro added that in line with the company’s objective of ensuring that consumers live a healthy and pain-free lifestyle, the company embarked on “Boska Pain-Free Day,” an activity that entails free medical consultation and optical checkup sessions for participants, with issuance of free eyeglasses, body massage sessions among others.

According to him, 14 editions have been held in different states across the country so far in 2023 alone, with plans to do more. He said the company is also very passionate about the well-rounded education of Nigerian school children and has through the “Boska Cup” platform, sponsored inter house sports competitions across various schools with particular interest in football.

Anggoro said this is further laced with motivational speeches and career advice by qualified facilitators at such events, with the first wave in 2023 scheduled for March across selected schools in Kwara, Ogun and Sokoto states.

Speaking on the company’s future plans, Anggoro said, the short term aims to further strengthen its position as a market leader in the Nigerian pharmaceutical space by increasing its brand footprint and winning in the market.

He said for the mid term, Dexa Medica aims to expand its business into neighboring West African countries like Benin, Cameroun, Ghana among other, while the long term plans is to set up new facilities in Nigeria to further accelerate its business growth. He said this will also be further testament to Dexa Medica’s commitment to the economic growth of Nigeria as well as contribute to enhanced job creation in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap, said Dexa Medica is one of the companies enhancing economic promotion as well as strengthening trade relationship between Indonesia and Nigeria.

“Dexa Medical is one of our many companies in Nigeria. This is to enhance our products in Nigeria and other African countries. We need to strengthen and make our relationship better with Nigeria,” he said.
