Ecobank raises stake in customers’s rewards

…Distributed N16 million in Ecobank Super Rewards, the Millionaire Geng Season’

Reaffirming its commitment to enriching the lives of its customers, Ecobank Nigeria has presented cash prizes to winners of the  its monthly and quarterly raffle draws under the ‘Ecobank Super Rewards, the Millionaire Geng Season’.

Specifically, 80 customers won N50,000 each in the September draw, totaling N4 million, while eight winners received N500,000 each, amounting to N4 million respectively, for a combined total of N8 million.

According to the bank, since the raffle draw series began in July 2024, Ecobank has distributed N16 million cash rewards to its customers.

At the unveiling of the  winners held in Lagos at the weekend, Regional Head of Ecobank’s Apapa-Isolo Region, Odjegba Otega pointed out that at the heart of its operations is an overriding desire to continue to make life easier for customers by empowering them to live fuller and richer lives.

He pointed out that 20 winners emerged from each of the bank’s four divisions in the monthly draw, noting that two winners were selected from each division for the quarterly draw.

Otega listed the divisions to include: FCT and North, South-South and South-East, Southwest and Midwest, and Lagos.

He added that 291,253 customers qualified for the monthly draw. They are 79,923 from the FCT and North; 84,848 from the South-South and South-East; 64,904 from the Southwest and Midwest; and 61,578 from Lagos.

“For the quarterly draw,  140,951 customers were eligible, with 32,571 from the FCT and North; 42,474 from the South-South and South-East; 34,007 from the Southwest and Midwest; and 31,899 from Lagos.

Otega explained that the raffle draws were part of the bank’s efforts to reward loyal customers for their patronage. “We are here to celebrate and appreciate our valued customers for choosing to bank with us,” he said.

Also speaking,  Head of Consumer Product and Segment, Ecobank Nigeria, Victor Yalokwu said the bank has continued to take pride in transforming and improving the lives of its customers.

According to him,  the raffle was introduced mid-year to reward new and existing customers.

Qualifying requirements for the scheme are maintaining a minimum balance of N10,000 in their accounts for at least 30 days.

“Overall, we plan to reward 512 customers with a total cash prize of N42 million. The rewards are broken into three categories; monthly, quarterly and the grand finale,” he said.

According to him, 240 customers have been rewarded through the monthly draws and eight winners through the quarterly draw.

The monthly draw will continue in November and December, which precedes the grand finale when eight lucky customers will win N2 million each.

The event was attended by representatives from regulatory bodies, including Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.
