Daara and Demilade, sisters Dream Basket Delights

The Dream Basket Delights, is a Sweet Treat company which specializes in custom cakes, pies, variety of deserts and fingers foods, they started in June 2017 after a year of researching recipes and baking them.The company is owned by two sisters Daara and Demilade Olaniyan, aged 11 and 8 respectively. Their love and passion for baking was inspired by their Mum.

Daara is the CEO/Master Baker, with the responsibility of researching and innovating new recipes and techiques, which complements her calm and detailed personality making the role perfect for her.
On the other hand, Demi is the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), tasked with the function of Sales and Marketing due to her bubbly and bright personality.

The Business name – The Dream Basket and Logo were the very first corporate decisions made by the young CEO’s. The basic skills of baking and principles of entrepreneurship were learnt from their Mum who has always supported and encouraged them in all their endeavors and interests.

Today, the business is managed in collaboration with their Mum, who has offered her kind assistance from inception.The Kid Entrepreneur fair which took place on September 2nd 2017 was a memorable experience for them, particularly after been awarded the “Most Independent Kid Entrepreneurs Prize”.

They have learnt a lot from these experiences, and now truly appreciate the value of Hard Work and Sacrifice, which is profitable. They get to save all the money they get rather than spend like other kids.

“Money is not easy to make and therefore money should not be wasted or used in an irresponsible manner”. With the support of their parents, they are looking at having handmade cookies & cupcakes stocked in different stores. These products would be found on the shelves in supermarkets at extremely affordable and reasonable prices.

The Dream Basket Team are extremely blessed and thankful to have their Parents as Mentors who have supported them through their entrepreneurial Journey. They implore parents to be very committed in every aspect of their kids’ lives in other for them to be successful.
