Olamiposi Ogunbiyi is a second-year student of Silversands Hall School, Lekki, Lagos. He was born in 2004. A highly talented teenager, he is into art design, barbing and photopgraphy. Interestingly, he is not just doing all this for the sake of it, he is good at what he does. And though he is quite passionate about the three areas, photography tops the list.

Going down memory lane, he explained that his interest in photography started when he cultivated the habit of using his phone to take all sorts of pictures.“With time and after developing full interest and basic skills in photography, I informed my parents that I would like to be a professional photographer,” he explained.

Fortunately for him, his parents gave him their blessing and support, as they went on to enroll him for photography training at their church. They also placed an order for a purchase of full set camera.“Just two months of this training and I became the number two professional photographer in my church,” he said. “This means I am next to my trainer. Most times now, I coordinate and take photographs, even when my trainer is not around to supervise me.”

His diligence and passion for photography has helped him to achieve a lot and cover many grounds. But despite all this, he has remanined focused on his primary aim, which is his education. “I have been able to strike a balance between my studies and these other things. They don’t affect my education,” he said.

Since he ventured into photography, Olamiposi has been able to establish his own photography studio with his parents’ support. “I have also developed my own photography instagram page @marvxphotography engage on weekly (weekends only) photography services that earn me an average of N60,000 monthly, while still excelling in my studies at school. I get very good results as a science student,” he said.

So, what is his advice to other children out there?
“My advice to everyone one out there is to develop what they like doing. They should also put more effort in making all their dreams become reality. If the mind can conceive it, then it is achievable,” he said.
