Firm rewards distributors, laments rising cost of production
International Distillers Limited (IDL) has rewarded its distributors for 2022 even though it said that the cost of doing business in 2022 was very high.
Also unveiling the new look of Teezers sparkling cocktail drink and the new variants of the brand, the company’s Managing Director, Patrick Anegbe, said the theme reflected the collective journey of surpassing boundaries and pushing the company, its brand and distributors to new heights.
Anegbe said market conditions became increasingly unstable in 2022; prices of input materials rose daily even as energy costs shot up due to the high cost of diesel.
“Despite the unfavourable business environment, you had to contend with in 2022, your performance at the end of the year was impressive. This is indeed commendable and we are sincerely thankful to you all,” he said.
He noted that the company worked hard to tackle the challenges through strategic planning, operational efficiency and investment in technology, saying: “We have pioneered processes that empowered us to thrive in the face of adversity.”
Head of Sales, IDL, Hope Gbagi, explained that the award was a testament to commitment and excellence, which celebrates the contributions of distributors who have demonstrated dedication and achieved remarkable milestones.
The awardees included Managing Director, Chubby Bros Enterprises, Sunday Emmanuel; Managing Director, YTT Distributors Investment, Yemisi Adewusi; Managing Director, Biola AY Stores, Biola Adewuyi and Managing Director, Ogbohu Enterprises, Dorothy Anegbe.
