NIA boss becomes IOD Fellow

The Chairman of Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) and Managing Director of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc,Eddie Efekoha, has been honoured among 41 eminent professionals and business leaders conferred with the fellowship of the Institute of Directors Nigeria in Lagos.

The Chairman of Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) and Managing Director of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc,Eddie Efekoha, has been honoured among 41 eminent professionals and business leaders conferred with the fellowship of the Institute of Directors Nigeria in Lagos.

According to the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Dele Alimi, the award is for members with a minimum of 10-year directorship experience in reputable organisations that have distinguished themselves over the years

The event also featured conferment of Distinguished Fellow Award on two past presidents of the institute, Chief Eniola Fadayomi and Samuel Yemi Akeju as well as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele and Chairman, Thorbourn Investment Limited, Justin Emmanuel.

The list also includes: Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc., Jim Ovia; Chairman, John Holt, Christopher Ezeh.Among those to be upgraded as fellows are: MD/CEO, Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc., Dr. Olusegun Omosehin and Director, First Bank Nigeria, Ambrose Feese,

Others are: MD/CEO, Heritage Bank, are Ifie Sekibo; Chairman, Mobil Oil Nigeria, Oyetunji Oyebanji; Registrar General, Corporate Affairs Commission, Alhaji Bello Mahmud and MD/CEO, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim among others.
