Lafarge Africa Plc Wednesday unveiled its new product Elephant Supaset Cement.

“For over 60 years we understand the desire of the product to guarantee a sustainable business in high return rate particularly for block making and setting,” Lafarge’s commercial director,Gbenga Onimowo said during the new product launch at Sheraton hotel, Lagos.

“Supaset is physically improved and more refined to achieve stronger buildings and durable construction works .”

He said the Elephant Supaset cement was first launched in 2011 and the improvement on the product was hinged by customers feedback which provided the company more insight into refining the cement into a superior product.

The company’s commercial director said the improved Supaset has been refined to suit all climatic conditions across the country. This, he said, makes it better than its counterparts in the market.

Omimowo maintained that Supaset new landscape bag is the first of its kind in the market, noting that the cement guarantees solid blocks that make up stronger buildings.

“Lafarge Elephant cement is now positioned as the chairman for the construction of solid structures as the first specialised cement for block making and concrete,” Omimowo said.

Also, the Standard Organisation of Nigeria group head Ugbaja Joseph said the refined product has been tested consistently which qualified it to be endorsed by the regulatory body.

“If you look at the product you will see our quality mark on it and if our quality mark is on it, that means we can vouch for this product and recommend it to anybody,” Ugbaja.
