Determined to checkmate the activities of fraudsters in the industry, there are indications that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) are compiling names of insurance brokers in its register that had remained dormant without renewal but may be used to canvass for business in the industry.
Industry sources explained that some of the brokers may have retired, some cannot meet up with the pace of regulatory processes, and some out of frustration decided more of less to delist themselves from the industry.
