The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Bello Hassan, has expressed the readiness of the corporation to partner with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) to enhance innovation and services delivery to depositors and its other stakeholders.

Hassan said this while receiving the Director-General of the bureau, Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, and other members of the management, who paid a courtesy call to the corporation.

A statement by the Director, Communication and Public Affairs Department, Bashir Nuhu, said the NDIC boss noted that the commitment of the organisation for effective service delivery informed its board’s swift approval of the establishment of an Efficiency and Innovation Unit of the Strategy Development Department in compliance with the directive of the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

Hassan said the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) developed by the BPSR would complement the Corporation’s existing assessment mechanism and enhance its corporate governance mechanism.

Arabi explained that the IT-based self-assessment tool of the bureau was designed to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of reforms as well as communicate the objective of the organisation.
