NIBSS donates to public schools, reiterates support for education

Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) Plc, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the nation’s educational system as one of its focus for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) has donated to 12 schools in Lagos.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Agboola Oladele, company secretary, NIBSS, had this to say; “NIBSS is a shared service infrastructure for the financial system and as part of our CSR we reach out to the education sector by providing facilities, opportunities and Information Technology Communication tools both to aid their technological and educational development. This year, we have made donations to 12 Public Schools in Lagos; as part of this 2018 initiative, today, we are presenting furniture to this particular school and we are happy to be part of the educational development of the school. In previous years we provided computers and laptops to so many schools within Lagos’’.

Mrs. Lovett Nwosu, principal of Badore Junior Secondary School in Badore, Ajah, one of the recipient schools, appreciated the contribution of NIBSS noting that the donation will go a long way in ensuring the comfort of teachers and staff on the job.

Mrs. M.A Tokosi, principal, Eti-Osa Community Junior Secondary School, commended NIBSS saying: “I am appreciative. This is part of giving back to the society and doing this kind of thing goes a long way. It is a good gesture.

It improves learning and teaching and it encourages us to work harder. It also provides comfort for us. When you are comfortable, you put in your best. We are saying a big thank you to NIBSS and we really appreciate their gesture and we pray that the company grows higher.”
