Sterling Bank concludes IT upgrade
Sterling Bank has concluded the upgrade of its information technology infrastructure, which it said was in line with its mandate to enrich the lives of its customers through efficient and prompt delivery banking services.
About 24 months back, the bank had commenced the upgrade of its core and subsidiary systems, transiting to more robust, agile and flexible platforms that are more adaptable to the dynamic banking needs of customers and position the Bank for long term sustainable growth.
In a statement, it noted that the decision to upgrade the IT infrastructure was informed by the need to improve the service delivery of the “one-customer” bank, adding that the upgrades would see the lender improve on customer experience.
“Sterling Bank would continue to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing customer experience in the provision of quality banking services as evidenced by its adoption of one of the best core banking software in the world.
“The decision is in line with global best practice and this will place our institution at par with other global financial institutions.
This will also enhance the Bank’s transaction processing capacity and speed,” the statement said.
