Undergraduate wins N2 million in Fidelity Bank’s promo

An undergraduate, Miracle Kanayo from Anambra State University, Igbariam Campus, has emerged the Star Prize winner of N2 million at the Fidelity Bank’s Get Alert In Millions Reloaded promo.

An undergraduate, Miracle Kanayo from Anambra State University, Igbariam Campus, has emerged the Star Prize winner of N2 million at the Fidelity Bank’s Get Alert In Millions Reloaded promo.

The promo, which started since October, also saw seven other winners emerged as millionaires, while several others won consolation prizes of televisions, generators and refridgerators.

The other millionaires include Abdulkadir Isyaku from Benin branch who also won N2million, while Ezeokafor Chukwuma from Lagos, Blessing Amadife, won N1million each.

At the first draw of the promo at the bank’s head office, which covered the geo-political zones, the Managing Director of Fidelity bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo, said the promo, which started in October will run for the period of six months with the sum of N50 million for grabs.

On what prompted the bank to reload the promo, especially at this particular period in the year when the Yuletide is fast approaching, Okonkwo said: “It is a time that we feel that empowerment is of the essence. That is why we specially timed this promo and we deliberately started it ahead of the year end when we know that everyone has need for a little extra.

“Since the bank has been running the promo but with Star reloaded because there is something heavy added to it in the form of extra cash win of N10million and additional consolation prizes. Others are N3million, N2million and N1million. We want the effect of this promo to be felt more widely and its impact to be heavier as been felt before. As part of our offerings, this promo reloaded is the 7th promo in 10 years and it’s the biggest and best brought to the market”.

Okonkwo who was represented by the bank’s Executive Director, Shared Services, Chijioke Ugochukwu, said the promo is open to everyone irrespective of persons involved and location.

According to him, the financial institution is targeting a signicant increase in its current base interms of diversity of customer base, including children for school fees account and even parents so that they will have the pensioner win.

The promo committee chairman, Obaro Odeghe, added that the promo will help in improving the standard of living of account holders, while he hinged on the student who won the N2million, noting that it will take care of his school expenses to a large extent.

He said: “Beyond the financial inclusion strategy of the CBN, we’re also trying to inculcate a savings culture by Nigerians. It’s a way of getting more Nigerians to be aware on the necessity to save for the rainy days.”

Also present at the draw was a regulator from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Deputy Director, Afam Ojeh, who said the commission came to monitor the promo to ensure there was transparency and follow ups to ensure the winners get their prize items.
