The Principal, Starfield College, Fagba, Mrs Sara Oyinloye, has charged the school’s graduating students to be brave, stay true to themselves and pursue their passion for academic excellence.
She also urged them to embrace change, build resilience, nurture relationship, and fear God to make a positive impact in the world.
Oyinloye stated this at the school’s special thanksgiving and valedictory service for the 2025 graduating set. Outstanding students were also rewarded and celebrated at the ceremony.
The principal enjoined the graduating students to let the values, principles, and lessons learnt continue to guide and shape their lives.
“The best way to predict your future is to create it. As you create your next chapter, I have no doubt that you will achieve great things, make a lasting impact, and live a life that is true to who you are,” she declared.
Oyinloye noted that the event is to celebrate not only the end of a chapter, but the beginning of a new and exciting journey for the students.
She also commended the parents for their unwavering support, guidance, and love that played a vital role in shaping the graduating students. She said the school is honoured to work with them in shaping the next generation of leaders, thinkers and change makers.
She reminded the students that they have grown, learned, and evolved in ways that have prepared them for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Director, Starfield College, Mr Chris Eigbe appreciated the parents for their commitment towards their children’s education despite the soaring inflation and increasing cost of living.
He urged them to continue supporting their wards in the next phase of their career as the best in them is yet to come.
A parent, Mrs Akorede Akiogbe, noted that the greatest fear of every parent is whether their wards will turn out well.
Akiogbe advised the students to take responsibility for their actions, shun bad companies and make decisions that will only impact their future positively.
At the event, Divine Abodunrin and David Akorede emerged joint overall best students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
While Akorede scored 350 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Divine scored 305.
