Lusail University has announced its Scholarships Programme for 2025, which allows international students from developing countries to pursue higher education in Qatar during the 2025 academic year.

The scholarship, which is open to students from Nigeria and other developing countries, offers 12 academic programs across various disciplines. It also includes a full tuition waiver, round-trip flight tickets, furnished on-campus housing, a monthly living expense stipend, and local transportation as needed.

Admission requirements
– Have a high school diploma with an overall grade of 90% or higher
– Be between 18 and 22 years of age
– Pass a personal interview
– Pass the Lusail University language test
– Applicants may not have previously obtained any certificate from an institution of higher education
– Applicants may not be residents of Qatar

Admission documents
– A medical certificate proving medical fitness, given that a medical examination will be conducted upon the student’s arrival in Qatar, and if he/she does not pass the medical examination, he/she will be excluded from the nomination
– A police clearance certificate accredited from their home country
– A written authorization from their legal guardian which provides permission to join the scholarship
– A certified birth certificate
– A valid passport
– High School diploma certificate authenticated by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the applicant’s country, provided that the certificate is equivalenced in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar through Lusail University.

Opportunity for Nigerian Students
This scholarship offers Nigerian students a unique chance to study in Qatar and gain a world-class education without financial constraints. The duration of the scholarship depends on the academic programme selected, ranging from one to six years.

International students enrolled in Qatar’s universities, including Lusail University, may participate in on-campus work placement programmes designed to provide real-world work experience. Students can work up to 20 hours per week under these programmes. However, off-campus work requires a separate work visa, which can be more challenging to obtain for international students on a student visa.
