In todays world where technological advancement is rapidly reshaping economies and disrupting traditional career paths, the conversation around equipping young people with 21st-century skills has never been more critical. Standing at the forefront of this global shift is Precious Eniayekan, a visionary social impact leader and founder of The Stellar Initiative. As one of Africa’s emerging voices in digital education and youth empowerment, Eniayekan is championing an urgent mission: preparing the next generation to thrive in a tech-dominated world.
From her pioneering work with the Boycode Bootcamp to her advocacy for inclusivity in tech education, Eniayekan is proving that it takes more than rhetoric to close the widening skills gap. It takes innovative thinking, strategic partnerships, and a relentless commitment to empowering youth from underserved communities.
As artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation redefine industries, experts warn of a global skill crisis. Traditional education models are failing to equip young people with the competencies required for the jobs of tomorrow—jobs that demand digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability. This failure is especially pronounced in Africa, where socio-economic inequality and limited access to quality education have long held back vast segments of the population.
“Technology isn’t just a sector anymore—it’s the backbone of every industry. If we aren’t equipping our youth for this digital reality, we’re not just failing them; we’re failing the future itself,” Eniayekan emphasized at a recent tech symposium in Lagos.
With over 65% of Africa’s population under the age of 25, the stakes are exceptionally high. Eniayekan recognized this challenge early and set out to solve it, not through incremental changes, but through a radical rethinking of how education could serve as a vehicle for economic transformation.
In 2021, Precious Eniayekan launched Boycode Bootcamp, a groundbreaking initiative designed to provide young boys from underserved communities with globally competitive skills in technology and creative industries. What started as a modest pilot project in Lagos has quickly evolved into a continent-wide movement that is disrupting the status quo of traditional education.
“At Boycode, we don’t just teach coding or design; we teach how to think critically, how to solve problems, how to innovate,” Eniayekan explains. “Our goal is to develop well-rounded individuals who are not just tech-literate, but who have the leadership and emotional intelligence needed to thrive in the modern workplace.”
Boycode Bootcamp has garnered widespread acclaim for its unique model, which blends technical training in areas such as coding, cybersecurity, digital design, and entrepreneurship with soft skills development. The program equips participants with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the global digital economy.
Under her leadership, the bootcamp has trained over 100 boys in Nigeria, providing them with the skills and mentorship necessary to secure employment in industries that were previously inaccessible to them. Many graduates have gone on to secure internships, full-time employment, or launch their own startups.
What sets Precious Eniayekan apart from many educational reformers is her commitment to a holistic approach to youth development. “We can’t just give young people technical skills and hope they succeed,” she insists.
“We need to nurture their emotional intelligence, their leadership potential, and their entrepreneurial mindset. These are the skills that will sustain them in a fast-changing world.”
Her emphasis on mental agility, emotional resilience, and adaptability is rooted in the understanding that the modern workforce is as much about character as it is about competence. Boycode Bootcamp’s curriculum, therefore, incorporates leadership training, mentorship, and mental health awareness alongside its technical education. This comprehensive approach has not only made her program standout, but it has also become a blueprint for other educational initiatives across Africa.
Recognizing the immense potential of her model, Eniayekan is now set to expand Boycode Bootcamp to Ghana, where the demand for digital skills is growing at a breakneck pace. “Ghana is becoming a hub for tech innovation in Africa, and we want to ensure that the country’s youth are part of this digital revolution,” she says.
The Ghana chapter of Boycode Bootcamp will continue the mission of providing access to quality digital education for boys from marginalized communities. Eniayekan’s ambition is to train 10,000 boys across Africa over the next five years, creating a pipeline of young tech talent that will contribute to Africa’s growing digital economy.
Her work has attracted partnerships with global tech companies, non-governmental organizations, and governmental bodies, all keen to invest in the future of Africa’s workforce. These partnerships are not just about philanthropy; they are about investing in human capital to drive sustained economic growth and innovation on the continent.

Eniayekan’s achievements extend far beyond the borders of Boycode Bootcamp. She is a thought leader in the field of social impact, gender equity, and youth development, frequently speaking at international conferences and forums about the urgent need for inclusive education models that leave no one behind. Her approach is unapologetically bold and disruptive, challenging outdated systems that perpetuate inequality and social exclusion.
For her tireless work, Eniayekan has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans by the Pan African Leadership Forum and a nomination for the Prize for Young Person of the Year by The Future Awards Africa. But perhaps her most significant achievement is the tangible difference she has made in the lives of hundreds of boys who would otherwise have been left on the margins of society.
Precious Eniayekan is not content with just being a part of the 21st-century skill acquisition conversation. She wants to lead it. Her work is a clarion call for educators, policymakers, and the private sector to take urgent action in preparing young people for the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.
“Education is the most powerful tool we have for social change. If we can equip young people with the right skills, we can not only transform their futures, but we can transform entire economies,” she says.
In a world grappling with unprecedented technological shifts, economic uncertainty, and social inequality, Precious Eniayekan is proving that it is possible to build an inclusive digital future—one young leader at a time.
