Agency recruits agric trainees
The Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Agricultural Services unit, has invited interested graduates to participate in a Federal Government-sponsored one-year agriculture capacity development for Kwara and Kogi states indigenes.
In an internal memorandum dated January 8, 2019, and signed on behalf of the Executive Director, Agric Services, by A.T. Affinih, the authority said the programme involves training on general agriculture, poultry, fisheries and horticulture/ornamental crops production.
It added that the project would last for one year, with a stipend to participants every month.
The requirements include, the authority said, the candidates must be graduates from universities, polytechnics or colleges of education/agriculture, and must be indigenes of either Kwara or Kogi state to qualify.
The basin authority said candidates should apply to the authority before January 18, 2019.
