As part of its centenary celebration, the Ahmadiyya Movement-In-Islam, Nigeria is set to launch a new book titled: “Ahmadiyya Movement-In-Islam Nigeria, 1916-2016 A Manifestation Of Dawah” on Thursday 13th of April, 2017 at the Muslim Community Hall, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

The Chief Launcher of the book is the Vice- Chairman of Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and President Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), Alhaji Sakariyu Babalola, while the Chairman of the occasion shall be Chief Rabiu Oluwa.

The Royal Father of the day His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Oba of Lagos and other dignitaries are being expected at the book launch.

Activities marking the Centenary celebration commenced with the theme: ‘‘Islamic Unity: A Pre-requisite to World Peace’’ commenced on the 1st of January, 2016 with Juma’ah service in all Jumat Mosques of the Movement nationwide.

Other activities that featured during the celebration included Qur’an memorization, Qur’an Reading, Islamic quiz, Islamic poetry and table tennis competitions for youths.

The Womens’ Wing organized an award ceremony to honour wives of the founding fathers of the Movement. The programme was held at Campus Square, Lagos Island. Dignitaries at the award ceremony included Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd.) and Chief Kola Abiola, son of Late Chief M.K.O Abiola and wife.
