Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Branch has commissioned new housing estate in Idimu under Alimosho local council in Lagos, to ease the burden of outrageous rent for members.

Speaking at the commissioning of the estate, National President of the society, Abdullateef Okunnu, said the Ansar-ud-deen estate was built for renting purpose so that all members and other Muslims in the state can benefit.

Okunnu said this development would enhance the members the opportunity to affordable accommodation without outrageous charges.


According to him, the block of flats is majorly built for the convenience of Ansar-ud-deen members and other Muslims in the state.

He noted that, renting apartment in Lagos is becoming unbearable for the people due to the unwarranted increment by the house owners and the society has decided to ease the pains through the building of a modern housing estate.

Okunnu added that the estate was well equipped with modern amenities and good road network.

The National Missioner of the society, Alhaji Abdulraheem Ahmed described the development as a move to relieve its members from high rent in the city.

Ahmed stressed that, “the housing project would add economical value to members because you are going to pay a reasonable amount for the rent and I believes one will be able save more money and plan for the future.”

According to him, Allah support every contribution by anybody or group that would better the life of others and the Ansar-ud-deen society has been a role model for other Muslim organisations in the country.

The Local Council Chairman, Nurudeen Okuleye who commissioned the housing estate described it as a welcomed development to improve the livelihood of people of the Alimosho local council.

He said: “These housing project will enhance rapid development to the environment and by the time people are parking into the estate, it would add another economy value to the community.”

He advised other Muslim organisations to emulate Ansar-ud-deen to invest in housing projects.
