After 1,915 days in operation, Boomerang Communication Solutions Ltd. has entered into a partnership with Havas Africa and it’s now Havas Nigeria.

Before the partnership, Boomerang had established its presence in over 140 countries, winning several awards. In 2018, the Paris-based global company that evaluates media agencies across the world, Research Company Evaluating Media Agency (RECMA), ranked it as one of the top 10 media agencies in Nigeria.

CEO Havas Nigeria, Lanre Oyegbola, said during the unveiling in Ikeja, Lagos, that he did not collapse Boomerang into Havas but entered into a partnership to operate in a bigger space.

He said during the unveiling, “we are giving more opportunities to our team who will have a bigger sphere to play beyond Nigeria, and to our clients, it means bigger values in terms of tools, bigger solution.

“I am not collapsing Boomerang into Havas. There are lots more things I want to do. I want to go back to school, I still want to lecture, I want to impact more people in classrooms, seminars, I have a political drive and I want to also follow that route. I believe that I have more contributions to Nigeria so, there is a lot for me to do.

“What I’m doing is to get the business into a bigger space so, what I have done is that we want to go far and to go far we need bigger alliances. We are just changing our jersey and not that I am stepping aside and this is not an affiliation, it’s a partnership.

“We will continue to offer what we have been offering as Boomerang. We will continue to offer our clients meaningful solutions,” he said.

On her part, CEO, Havas Africa, Vineel Agarwal, said: “Today is a very important occasion for both Boomerang and Havas Nigeria. This partnership has been extensively strong in the last couple of years. “We have worked together and this is taking our partnership to the next level by having Havas Nigeria as our new identity in the market so, this means we are bringing the Havas global capabilities, expertise be it in terms of the philosophy of the meaningful brand, the tools and expertise for the team, we are bringing them in a much stronger way to the market.”
