Nigeria’s online personalised news app, Bounce News App, has been declared winner of the 2017 AppsAfrica Best News and Entertainment App Award. The AppsAfrica awards ceremony, which held in Cape Town, South Africa, last week, recognises innovation in the tech ecosystem across Africa, and is supported by Mobile Monday South Africa and Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF).

The award adds to the growing collection of Bounce News’ laurels and also underlines the fast rising profile of the news app, as Nigeria’s leading online news destination. Bounce News Nigeria’s Head of Marketing, Modupe Ogunyemi, along with Traffic Acquisition Manager, Tunde Ajetomobi, were there to receive the award.

Ogunyemi thanked the organisers for recognising Bounce News Apps’ excellence in delivering personalised news to its users within Nigeria and across the world. Ogunyemi also pledged that the platform would maintain the higher standards set in producing original news content while tailoring the App’s content to suit individual user preferences.

Bounce News is in line for another major international award, as it has been nominated for the World Architectural News Award (WAN), which festival comes up from November 15 through 17, 2017 at the Arena Berlin, Germany.

These accolades for Bounce is coming less than eight months after it was established. And its growth has been attributed to its digital innovation and superior newsgathering technique, which leverages artificial intelligence to provide Nigerians with personalised content.
