New kid, Maverick, rocking with roll waist




Wakama ‘Maverick’ Ene is the new kid on the block. He is a rapper, singer and producer in Afro-pop and Afro hip-hop and is currently signed to IFOE Records. He graduated from the University of Lagos and has B.Sc in Petroleum and Gas Engineering. He won Beat 99.9 FM’s ‘Fresh Beat’ in 2014. He was nominated for MTV’s ‘Rate Or Hate’ in December 2015. 
Maverick ranked 8th on City FM’s ‘Grumis top 10 Hit list’.

Maverick says he is currently “in a fabulous point in my career due to the success in releasing my songs ‘Roll waist,’ and ‘Iyalaya Anybody’ remix which features Ozone, Cdq and Durella. The song ‘Iyalaya Anybody’ increased my fan base and it got air play in major radio stations in Nigeria. Right now I have seen a drastic increase in my fan base since I released ‘Roll Waist’ which is my new single. It is very appealing and currently rocking the club scene and my female fans just love it. This is a quantum leap in my career due to the amount of people that go clubbing”.

#IAMMAVERICK has toured Lagos and Abuja, a development that started from his performances.Maverick whose interest is in the Afro-pop and Afro hip-hop genres of music, has upcoming projects that include a new singles with Durella titled ‘Jugunu.’

He said, “The song was produced by me and was also mixed by IFOE Studio.
I have a production work with Cdq; it would be released in future.
I have  just completed my mix tape and would be dropping a new single from the mix tape. I love production; I created a beat tape with my production team housing producers like Teetos and HITS. The beat tape comprises of instrumentals and would also have a videography”.
