Charterhouse Lagos, a subsidiary of the British Charterhouse School, is set to officially take in its first batch of students in September 2024.

After defending its fee of ₦45M, the Director of Communications, Damilola Olatunbosun, described the institution as “not just like every other school anywhere globally but a prestigious and value-driven world-class educational institution that parents, who love quality and second to none education will always want their children to be.”

Located in the Ogombo neighbourhood of Ajah, Lagos, the school aims to revolutionise Nigeria’s education system by combining traditional values with modern teaching methodologies. John Todd, Director of Education in the school, believes the institution is committed to excellence, stating, “With a heritage spanning four centuries, Charterhouse Lagos upholds timeless principles of respect, resilience, and responsibility.”

The school’s curriculum will cover core subjects such as mathematics, English, STEM, social studies, and languages, with additional focus areas including business studies, art, and music. The state-of-the-art campus will feature modern classrooms, cutting-edge technology, and extensive extracurricular facilities to foster holistic student development.

The only difference is that the school here will be immersed in Nigerian culture thereby giving our students the best of British education in a multicultural environment.”
