Automechanika road show debuts in Lagos to showcase innovations

The first edition of Automechanika, regarded as the world’s biggest trade fair for vehicle repair and maintenance, will bolster the future of the sector, the organiser, Messe Frankfurt, has said.

Automechanika the no. 1 trade fair for auto parts after market will make its debut in Lagos, Nigeria on 22nd November 2017.  With 17 events in 15 countries, the Automechanika brand is the largest international automotive aftermarket trade show in the world.

The first edition of Automechanika, regarded as the world’s biggest trade fair for vehicle repair and maintenance, will bolster the future of the sector, the organiser, Messe Frankfurt, has said.

Automechanika the no. 1 trade fair for auto parts after market will make its debut in Lagos, Nigeria on 22nd November 2017.  With 17 events in 15 countries, the Automechanika brand is the largest international automotive aftermarket trade show in the world.

On Wednesday November 22, the Automechanika Dubai team will be in Lagos with foreign manufacturers of auto spare parts.  Among the foreign companies expected are AC Delco (ACDelco offers a full line of premium auto parts, including for tiers of variety for nearly every make and model), Mineral Circles Bearings MCB. (MCB is a reliable and much-trusted bearing distributor and supplier of premium bearings) etc. to sensitise the auto after market sector, and also meet directly with Nigeria operators in this sector.  

Automechanika Dubai serves some of the largest automotive markets such as Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Iran. The show also acts as the central trading link connecting the wider Middle East, Africa, Asia and key CIS countries.

Expected guest speakers will include Luqmann Manudu, Director, Policy and Planning, National Automotive Design and Development; Nnamdi Ebeku, Secretary General, Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers (ASPAMDA); Uche Increase, President, Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF); and Dr. D.V.C. Obi the Chairman, Motor Vehicle and Miscellaneous Assemblies Sectoral Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.

Now in its 16th edition, the exhibition offered trade professionals the chance to meet face-to-face with 1,955 key exhibitors across the three day show that will hold from 1 – 3 May 2018.

The trade show is a good platform to find out more about the latest products and services, find new suppliers, source products and compare product alternatives

Automechanika Dubai is unique with regard to product-range breadth and depth. No other show in the wider Middle East and Africa and covers the full range of products and services available in the automotive aftermarket industry. 

At the last Automechanika Dubai, it presented 1,955 exhibitors from 57 countries and welcomed more than 30,322 trade visitors from 136 countries. The exhibition was spread across 70,000 sqm i.e. 14 halls and was proud to receive the support of 38 international trade associations and the presence of 25 official country pavilions.   Products were exhibited under the product group:  Parts & Components, Electronics & Systems, Repair & Maintenance, Tyres & Batteries, Accessories & Customising and Car Wash, Care & Reconditioning
