Osanipin highlights investment opportunities in auto sector
The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, has highlighted the investment opportunities that abound in the Nigerian automotive industry.
The NADDC DG presented the opportunities to investors in Morocco, highlighting local component manufacturing, electric vehicles (EVs), EV infrastructure and gas-powered vehicles as the major areas of investment.
He emphasised that Nigeria is an attractive destination for automotive investments given its abundant gas reserves and huge population while speaking the Nigeria-Morocco Business Week.
The event is significant in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two countries. The event provided a platform for networking, knowledge sharing and exploring potential collaborations.
According to NADDC, keynote speeches by high-level officials from both Nigerian and Moroccan governments underscored the importance of the bilateral economic cooperation.
The high-powered delegation and other participants also visited the NADDC pavilion where they were handed the Nigeria Auto Policy for deeper insights into the investment opportunities in Nigeria.
