He said the organisation has embarked on numerous humanitarian visits to touch life of the less privilege. “Apart from visitation to rehabilitation center will also do hospital visitation. And during Ramadan we feed the poor”.

Onisade noted that the aim of the visitation is to donate gift and give spiritual word of encouragement to people with special needs and also let them know that whatever predicament they are going through presently, there are better days ahead.

He urged youth and well to do people to join the organization in order to engage in social activities aimed at promoting the course of Islam.

The President added that, the awareness to help the indigent in the society is high; so many Islamic organisations are reaching out to the less privilege.

“ We don’t wait till the period of Ramadan to extend kind gesture to the society. “Our organisation use to pay courtesy visit to orphanage home, Prison, destitute home and so many other places every year to pray for them and give them gift.

He urged the special needs people to be prayerful and never lose hope of getting over their predicaments and promise that the organization will always come around to pay courtesy visit to the home.

Member of the Association, Alhaji Kamardeen Oladosu said the security situation in the country has improved but security agencies need to defy means of blocking lope holes. “ Compare to what we have before, there are still soft spot that are being attacks that the government need to take action on. If you look at Boko haram issues the organization has been generally decimated but they are making on soft target.

Oladosu said that corruption is very endemic in our system and the present administration made it a point to tackle it. “They’ve done a bit of what they think is appropriate at the moment but I think there is still a lot to be done, more importantly ensuring that people within their inner circles who have been identified to be corrupt are also made to account for their deeds. That we send a very strong signal to the nation and all those that are involve in the act.

He urged Muslims to imbibe the concept of Zakat as a tool to eradicate poverty. “First and foremost as a Muslim we are expected to give Zakat, which is two percent of our wealth on yearly basis, meant to be distributed to the needy. if we all embrace this gesture, poverty will totally be eradicated within our communities”.

He reiterated the need to distribute Zakat to the appropriate beneficiaries.

“If we look how wealthy a lot of people are in this country and what they give to the society, poverty is assumed to be eliminate in our society. That is the more reasons we need to identify the appropriate people to give the Zakat to, so that we are not dissipating energy and distributing money to people that already have”

Oladosu added that, there is a need to identify the needy and ensure we touch their life.” If we we’re able to touch them this year, they will be in position to give Zakat the following year because they would have been liberated from poverty.
