OAAN, MIPAN canvass sustainable well-being
Members of Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) and Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) have canvassed inclusive and sustainable well-being.
The practitioners aim to promote good health and well-being in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. With the theme: “Healthy Living,” the members embarked on a health walk from Lagos Television in Ikeja en route Awolowo Way and ended at Police College Ikeja.
OAAN President, Sola Akinsiku, said: “We are busy 24 hours but there is a need to maintain healthy living. The primary reason is to celebrate the World Hygiene Day. It was fun. If individuals were to do it alone, they would complain. This is not the first time we have organised this event. We did this jointly with MIPAN last year and we are lucky to have LASAA join us this year. There is collaboration in the industry and it is growing.”
On his part, ex officio MIPAN, Yinka Adebayo, said, “We work in a very competitive world and there is a need to maintain work-life balance. Exercise is what you need to be healthy. While we grow our businesses, we must also try to exercise and have fun.”
Similarly, Lagos Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) Assistant General Manager, Kolade Ogunkoya, said the walk is highly beneficial. “It is a lifestyle that everybody should embrace. It also provided practitioners the opportunity to see the state of their billboards. It has also bonded us socially.” she stated.
