NBA-SBL begins ‘lawyers got talent’ competition
In an effort to ease lawyers’ stress and showcase their talent, the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) is set to expose lawyers’ skills through its talent show.
The talent show is part of the 17th edition of the yearly International Business Law Conference of the body scheduled to hold from Wednesday, July 5, to Friday, July 7, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The show is expected to bring together lawyers from various disciplines to display their skills and abilities outside of legal practice. Interested Lawyers with talents in the categories of music (Voice and Instruments), poetry, and comedy are expected to register for the conference so as to qualify for the talent show.
Interested participants are to make a two-minute video showcasing their talent, save the video in a Google Drive and email the link to [email protected] not later than 15, June 2023. Also, contestants are to send their full name, phone number, year of call, SCN Number, and evidence of payment of the registration fee for the conference along with the link to their google drive.
Also, interested participants are to ensure that the sharing permissions allow access to their videos for the judging process.Speaking about the talent show, Vice Chairman of the 2023 NBA-SBL Conference Planning Committee, Ose Okpeku, said: “It will indeed be a fun and exciting evening.
Definitely, an event not to be missed. I look forward to seeing some outstanding performances from our very talented colleagues.” He added that the winner goes with N1,000,000, first runner up goes with N750,000 and second runner up gets N550,000. Okpeku noted that early bird registration for the conference is currently ongoing until May 31, 2023.
“Interested attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the discounted rates and secure their eligibility for the Lawyers Got Talent showcase,” he said. To register for the conference, Okpeku urged lawyers to visit the NBA-SBL official website at www.nbasbl.org.
