Lecture on tax law holds today in UNILAG

The Board of Trustees of the Lagos State Professorial Chair in Tax and Fiscal Matters in collaboration with the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, holds its 1st Annual Lecture today.

The Board of Trustees of the Lagos State Professorial Chair in Tax and Fiscal Matters in collaboration with the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, holds its 1st Annual Lecture today.

According to the board, Minister of Finance Mrs. Kemi Adeosun will chair the lecture, while the Special Guest of Honour is the governor of Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Dr Wale Babalakin (SAN) and Prof Toyin Ogundipe, FAS are the Guest of Honour and Chief Host respectively.

The lecture with the title: ‘Policy, Legal and Administrative Imperatives in the Quest for Eradicating Multiplicity of Taxes in Lagos State’ will be delivered by Professor Abiola Sanni.

“Sanni, the occupier of the Lagos State Professorial Chair in Tax and Fiscal Matters was recently appointed the Chairman of the National Committee on the Review of National Tax Policy in 2016 to establish a sustainable framework for revamping of the Nigerian tax system,” the group said.
