Customers who desire to use air conditioners with small capacity generators can smile to the market, as LG electronics has launched its 2.5HP capacity gencool air conditioning unit specifically designed for Nigerian market.

Its affordability, durability, energy efficiency allows it save up to 70 per cent running cost through its advanced inverter V technology.

This initiative shows the brand’s commitment in offering Nigerians cutting edge technologies.

The conventional air conditioner that is unable to operate at lower speed due to its constant rotation, and adjusting the compressor speed to maintain desired temperature level thereby reducing energy costs.

Dual Inverter technology gives it a 40-per cent faster cooling, with a 10-year warranty that helps users enjoy the benefits of LG air conditioner for a longer period of time.

While speaking at the event, Managing Director, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. Taeick Son said, “Over the years, we have consistently introduced residential air conditioners that address the peculiar needs of people in sub-Saharan Africa.

Going by the fact that our energy-efficient offerings have local relevance, recent introductions have been hugely successful in this clime.

The Gen Cool Inverter V AC, which allows 2.5HP AC to run on small capacity generators of 1.3 KVA with Gen Mode, is now operable with Inverter and Solar.”

It is worthy to note that the Gen Mode features allow it to minimise start-up electricity requirements to power it.

Also, General Manager Air Conditioning and Energy Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. C.Y Park said, “Clean, fresh air is essential for good health.

On account of the ground-breaking GEN Mode, LG’s All New GEN COOL AC works efficiently when being powered by a small capacity generator or inverter.

This revolutionary product offers consumers in Nigeria durability, efficiency and cost saving. It ensures strong and reliable cooling even in the face of extreme heat and power grid failure.”

The air conditioner comes with a feature that ensures a 40 per cent torque vibration reduction resulting in the quietest operation of outdoor unit.

The 15 degrees’ tilted skew fan minimises surface friction of the blade when in contact with the air.

The ALL NEW GENCOOL Inverter Compressor constantly adjusts the compressor’s speed to maintain desired temperature levels.

Moreover, Dual Inverter Compressor with power saving operation range frequency saves more energy than conventional compressor.
