Making a difference during ember months
In this last quarter of the year – October to December 2016, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON, will be promoting a special publication on passengers’ vehicle tyres, as a public service initiative to help prevent accidents on Nigerian roads.
The initiative is in form of public enlightenment on the critical issues surrounding tyres that are commonly responsible for tyre outburst (and associated dangers) that cause accidents.
The special project, which is in partnership with MC&A DIGEST, a media consulting & PR Company, is structured to feature experts’ insight and opinion on how to identify expired tyres, how best to fit tyre, the evident elements of a standard quality tyre, how to fit tyres and the safe and economic ways to use and maintain tyres.
The publication will serve as a guide to safe motoring, especially public transport companies, road transport workers/owners. The SON is determined to make the difference this EMBER MONTHS and expects stakeholders to support this public service initiative.
