
Following her recent conferment of doctorate degree in Mass Communication from University of Lagos, founder/convener NECCI PR Roundtable, Nkechi Ali-Balogun, has disclosed she would deploy her wealth of experience to drive transparency that aligns with the increasing importance of trust and credibility.
In an interview with The Guardian, she observed the Public Relations landscape is evolving rapidly, with a lot of technological advancements and changes in consumer preferences.
However, she added reputation and sustainability remain key words for corporate growth.To this end, she stated, “that would be my main focus; helping to drive transparency that aligns with the increasing importance of trust and credibility. Research has also shown that ethics and compliance must be prioritised in public relations efforts. These are the key areas that will engage my thoughts going forward.”
Speaking further, Ali-Balogun recalled, “January 16, 2025, to be precise, marked another milestone in my life as I was formally awarded a Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication during the 55th Convocation of the prestigious University of Lagos.”
She described the achievement as testament to her resilience and determination, considering the rigorous demands and challenges faced throughout the academic journey, particularly at the age of 60 plus.
